Workshop on Matching Markets

ITU Economics Department is planning to organize an International Workshop in Matching Markets. The workshop will be held on December 29 at Management Faculty in Istanbul Technical University. This workshop brings scholars from North America, Europe, and Turkey to present and discuss their current research and it also aims to foster interaction and collaboration on new research perspectives.

Matching Theory and Market Design help us to design and redesign markets when traditional market mechanisms fail to allocate resources in an efficient and fair manner. Matching Theory has been very successful in real life applications including school choice, medical labor markets, organ donation, and course allocation.
